How to Receive From God

“Lynda, just receive it!” I had just climbed into bed after kneeling for over an hour, praying for a need that I had in my life. I had been speaking to my situation by quoting scripture after scripture on God’s promises and blessings that I knew belonged to me. I know exactly who I am and who I belong to in the Kingdom of God, but for some reason I wasn’t getting a breakthrough.
I did a Daniel fast and prayed for 3 days,  then did a fast where I  turned off my television, didn’t answer the phone, and refused to log onto the Internet for a whole week so that I could hear from God and still I wasn’t seeing any results.
Finally I pulled out my wonderful scriptures on provision and prosperity and every evening before going to bed, I would kneel down and speak the scriptures over my situation, even personalizing them by inserting my name in there. I did it because I know it works!!
In 2012 God was ‘enlarging my territory’ by blessing my Spoken Word Press publishing company with clients that needed help publishing their books. I’m a partner with Kenneth Copeland Ministries and watched faithfully when Gloria Copeland and Pastor George Pearson did a two week teaching on how the Copeland’s believed God for a house. Here’s a link to the PDF and yes, they want partners to share this information with others:  http://www.kcm.org/sites/default/files/cck/document/field_document/106039_How%20to%20Believe%20God%20for%20a%20House%20Study%20Notes.pdf
In February 2013, I was blessed with a great house that I’m currently renting and would like to purchase. I got so excited when I moved; I told everybody how God had blessed me with a house! Well of course the enemy didn’t like that and less than a month after moving I had two car accidents! The second accident really damaged the front end of my little 2000 Kia Sportage which had served me so well for over 4 years, so I believed God for another vehicle and I wanted to get it by faith just like I received the house!
It was now March 2014, and I had driven around in this really damaged SUV for over a year, and to be honest with you, I was getting fed up! So I began to search through my KCM scriptures on God’s provision and prosperity for His servants and began decreeing and declaring these scriptures over my situation, determined to get a break through!
On night, I climbed into bed and the Holy Spirit spoke to me audibly and said in a very exasperated voice, “Lynda, just receive it!” I was a little shocked because I really thought  that I had received what I was asking for, but I  realized that I really hadn’t because I was still asking for it!!  Instead of saying, “Lord, please bless the works of my hands.” I should have been saying, “Lord, thank you for blessing the works of my hands, Lord thank you for giving me the power to create wealth, Lord thank you for supplying all of my needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” See the difference?
I have to be honest and admit that I was also dealing in unbelief and fear. My mind began to be bombarded with these thoughts: when God blesses me with this new vehicle how am I going to pay for it? I work full time, but as a single woman and running my own publishing company, I was concerned about worldly things i.e., car note, sales tax, higher insurance rate, etc. I was like Sarah, Abraham’s wife; when God told them he was going to bless them with a child and they were way pass the age of childbearing in Genesis 18:14.
Abraham and Sarah were told by one of God’s angels that Sarah would give birth to a baby boy the following year and when Sarah heard that she actually laughed out loud and God heard her: Sarah Laughs at the Promise…And the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I indeed bear a child, when I am so old?' "Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son." Sarah denied it however, saying, "I did not laugh"; for she was afraid. And He said, "No, but you did laugh."
My heavenly father had to remind me of the same thing, “Lynda, is anything too difficult for the Lord?”  So last month after being very fed up I said, Okay Lord, I want the vehicle that you want me to have, so just tell me where to go it!” Five minutes later I heard that still quiet voice in my spirit telling me where to look. I grabbed my laptop and went to the site the Holy Spirit gave me and there sat my red 2008 Kia Sportage! I called them the next day and set up a test drive. After I drove it, the salesmen asked if I wanted to fill out the information for a car loan. Now this is where I always lose faith because my credit is not the greatest.
Anyway, I said, “Okay, Lord, I’m going to trust you!” I filled out the paperwork and hung around for a bit while the sales manager was busy with other customers. Noting the late time, I told my salesman I needed to get home and feed my cat, so please call me. I left with a feeling of peace I have never had when applying for a loan. Well about an hour later they called me and told me that I had been approved!!! This was late on a Monday night and that Wednesday, I went and picked up my new truck!! God is faithful!
I would like to share this great teaching from Pastor Andrew Wommack, “You’ve Already Got It!”  This is a one week teaching that I really believe will bless you and your family.

Thank you for this information Lynda! I really want my own home, and I want my business/ministry to take off. I am fed up with being told No. I will be incorporating this information into my psyche, so that I will be able to realize my dreams and will be a catalyst for others who are on the same path.

LuthersLady,
Good for you! It's time for us to stop letting the enemy tell us what we can and can't have. We are the seed of Abraham, and everything God blessed Abraham with, he blessed us with! Here's another post I hope blesses you:
